EARN COLLEGE UNITS IN AN EXTENDED SILENT WEEKEND!

Friday, July 25th 9:00am-7:00pm
Saturday, July 26th 9:00am-8:00pm
Sunday, July 27th 10:00am-4:00pm
All Courses offered are UC/CSU transferable:
- ASL 120 – Beginning American Sign Language Conversation (2 units)
- Pre-requisite – ASL 101
- ASL 130 – Intermediate American Sign Language Conversation (2 units)
- Pre-requisite – ASL 102 or ASL 120
- ASL 140 – Advanced American Sign Language Conversation (2 units)
- Pre-requisite – ASL 103 or ASL 130
The ASL Summer Immersion Institute courses REQUIRE:

Completion of .5 units of ONLINE work between June 30th -July 18th

Attendance and participation in class, small and large group sessions, meals and Deaf social activities through the entire weekend (1.5 units).

Students not currently enrolled in SBCC must apply to the college as a new applicant @ www.sbcc.edu/apply THEN enroll in class using your PIPELINE account via https://pipeline.sbcc.edu

Participation in meals is required. Lunch is available for purchase in the cafeteria on July 25th. Students may bring their own meals or pay $50.00 for the cost of catering 2 dinners and 2 lunches. (payable to cashier’s office via mail or in person).
Fees:
$20.00 per unit (all students); $173 per unit for out-of-state residents, $179 per unit for international students; health & transportation & representation $22.
The ASL Summer Immersion Institute will be facilitated by the teaching team of Ignacio Ponce, Kara Powis, Michele Smith and Michelle Walsh.
